Kris' love for travel started early – his parents worked for Philippines Airlines and Saudia Airlines which allowed the whole family to travel the world.
After moving to Canada, Kris graduated from the Tourism & Hospitality program at BCIT where he was able to learn more about the Canadian market, and he eventually found himself working in hotels from Sun Peaks to all over the Rockies and Vancouver in various operations and sales roles.
Kris joined Discover Holidays to share his experiences from the West Coast of Canada with his clients.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
My favorite place to go to in Canada is Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It was one of the areas I had worked in as part of CRMR and I was able to explore it thoroughly. In fact, it was all so beautiful that I ended up staying in the Rockies much longer than I had originally planned!
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
My best travel memory in Canada would be my trip to Tofino with my best friend Stefanie. She surprised me with the trip as a 30th birthday present and we had such a great time!
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
One thing everyone should experience while they’re in Canada is a ski or snowboard trip in the Rockies. Whether it's at Sunshine, Norquay, Nakiska, Louise, or Marmot Basin, you're always in for a good time. Helicopter drops are optional, but very thrilling!
