Deer Lake Newfoundland Road Trip Vacations

Located at the intersection of the Trans Canada Highway and the Viking Trail in Newfoundland, Deer Lake derives its name from the caribou which crossed it.

Having become a regional service and transportation hub, it offers shopping, restaurants, banking, medical and recreational services.

Deer Lake Regional Airport, which serves a large area of the island, is the fourth busiest in Atlantic Canada.
