Day 1 Vancouver to Kamloops | Rocky Mountaineer
Board Rocky Mountaineer this morning and begin your unforgettable journey east from Vancouver through the ever-changing landscapes of British Columbia. Travel through the fertile Fraser Valley before following the mighty Fraser River into the dramatic Fraser Canyon, where steep rock walls, rushing whitewater and remarkable railway engineering create one of the most memorable stretches of the route. Highlights along the way include the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate and historic Cisco Crossing, before the scenery opens to the rolling hills, sagebrush country and wide lake vistas of the Interior on approach to Kamloops. Day 2 Kamloops to Banff | Rocky Mountaineer
Rejoin Rocky Mountaineer this morning and continue east as the scenery becomes even more dramatic on approach to the Canadian Rockies. Travel past rugged ranchlands, forested valleys, glacier-fed rivers and soaring mountain passes, with a series of legendary rail highlights unfolding throughout the day. Look out for Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the dramatic setting of Rogers Pass, the engineering marvel of Stoney Creek Bridge, the sheer walls of Kicking Horse Canyon and the famous Spiral Tunnels. By evening, arrive in Banff surrounded by the magnificent peaks of the Rockies. (Breakfast & lunch are included today)
Day 3 Banff | Freedom of Choice - Choose 1 of 7 Excursions

In summer, travellers may enjoy either the Bow Valley Parkway, known for its quieter pace and wildlife viewing opportunities, or the Trans-Canada Highway, which offers a faster route with sweeping mountain vistas. Along the way, Johnston Canyon is a popular highlight, where a paved trail follows the canyon walls to rushing waterfalls, turquoise pools and dramatic limestone scenery. Day 5 Lake Louise to Jasper | Ice Explorer + Skywalk | 208 km/129 mi
Travel north along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular mountain drives in the world. This unforgettable route follows the spine of the Canadian Rockies, passing glacier-fed lakes, sweeping valleys, waterfalls and towering peaks. Travel beneath the towering presence of Mount Robson, pass through Yellowhead Pass and enjoy views of Pyramid Falls before following the North Thompson River through forested valleys and rugged interior landscapes. As the day unfolds, the scenery opens to the broad river country and mountain-fringed hills of British Columbia’s Interior on approach to Kamloops. (Breakfast & lunch are included today)
Day 8 Kamloops to Vancouver | Rocky Mountaineer
Rejoin Rocky Mountaineer this morning and continue west through the striking landscapes of British Columbia. Follow the Thompson River through dry grasslands, rolling hills and rocky canyon country before entering the dramatic Fraser Canyon, where steep cliffs, powerful currents and remarkable rail engineering create some of the route’s most iconic scenery. Watch for highlights including Cisco Crossing and the surging whitewater of Hell’s Gate, then continue alongside the Fraser River through the fertile farmlands of the Fraser Valley before arriving in Vancouver later today.
