Originally from Iran, Marzieh came to Canada two years ago to continue her education in MBA at University Canada West.
During her residence in Canada, it was the hiking in the BC mountains and swimming at its stunning lakes that helped her stay focused on her path.
A lover of local food recipes and various cultures, Marzieh has a special appreciation for Canada and enjoys adventuring, exploring and trying new dishes in her free time.
She is excited to be working at Discover Holidays where she can learn more about both Canada and Alaska.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
Not only is Canada's West Coast my favorite part of the country, but it's an excellent place to surround yourself with wildlife and outdoor activities. Full of fantastic history and culture, there's a lot to learn about the region's Indigenous peoples, and if you're looking for a taste of local cuisine, West Coast cuisine will not let you down!
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
The best travel memory I have in Canada was at Buttle Lake in Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island, the oldest provincial park in BC. I spent my last summer break there and really enjoyed swimming in the beautiful lake and soaking up the views of the surrounding mountains.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once?
Seeing the magical Aurora Borealis, or northern lights, in the Yukon is one thing in Canada that everyone should experience at least once in their life. Where else can you combine the best of the sky's magnificent light show with unique winter activities like dogsledding, walking around the wildlife preserve, and snowmobiling on the lake?!
